After hearing Black Sabbath's Paranoid album and Deep Purple's Machine Head, Dirk was assimilated during middle school into the dark collective known as Heavy Metal. Fueled by the heavy sounds of Iron Maiden, Dio, Queensryche and Lynch Mob, he has loudly searched the world for the next Opeth, Mastodon, and Ghost. After spending his life as a professional musician, writer, publicist and label owner, he continues to create new music with his bands CLOCKWORK REVOLUTION and PERFECT DEFECT.
